  • Pierce resigns from King cross country/track & field programs

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University Director of Athletics David Hicks announced the resignation of head cross country and track and field coach Desmond Pierce. Pierce has accepted the director of compliance position at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tenn.

    OAKWOOD, Ga. – The King University women’s cross country team finished 13th at the NCAA Southeast Region Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning. The Tornado were led by All-Southeast Region performer Kirstin Barton who finished 20th.
  • Mburu, Rivera win Conference Carolinas Elite 23 awards

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – Starting this year, Conference Carolinas started handing out the Elite 23 award, which is an award giving to the student-athlete at the championship site with the highest GPA for each respective sport. In the fall, two Tornado earned the Elite 23 award, Sam Mburu of the men’s soccer team and Kaitlin Rivera of the women’s cross country team.
