BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University men’s wrestling senior Elijah Seay can add another award to his collection as he was named a Scholar All-American by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).
BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the fourth straight year, the King University men’s wrestling team has multiple NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships qualifiers as three Tornado make the trip to Sioux Falls, S.D. this weekend. Rylee Billings and Cade Ridley will be making their first appearance at the national championships while Elijah Seay makes the trip for the second straight season.
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Following the conclusion of the NCAA Super Region II Championships, the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas (SACC) held a banquet to recognize their all-conference performers. Rylee Billings, Elijah Seay and Cade Ridley all earned second team honors for the King University men’s wrestling team.
Pembroke, Nc. – The King University Men's Wrestling team assembled an incredible performance at this year's region tournament. Rylee Billings, Elijah Seay and Cade Ridley all qualified for the national tournament and out of ten weight classes five wrestlers made the semi finals.
GAFFNEY, S.C. - The King University men's wrestling team traveled to Limestone College this evening to compete in their final conference matchup before the region tournament. Limestone took the match by a score of 45-9. Cade Ridley and Cory Collins put together great performances with wins by fall and decision.
BRISTOL, Tenn. - The King University men's wrestling team hosted senior night against Belmont Abbey College this evening at the Student Center Complex. The Tornado gave four forfeits but still managed to split matches with top conference rival Belmont Abbey 3-3. Ultimately Belmont Abbey College took the win 39-12.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The men's wrestling team traveled to Coker University today but fell short by a score of 34-17. The Tornado was led by Rylee Billings with a 20-2 tech fall. Jacob Wynn and Elijah Davis picked up wins by decision.
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Elijah Seay of the King University men’s wrestling team was selected South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Wrestler of the Week for the second time this season. He came up with a pin in his lone match of the week last week.
BRISTOL, Tenn. - The King University men's wrestling team hosted conference rival 13th-ranked Newberry College this evening at the Student Center Complex. Newberry took the win by a score of 23-16, but Rylee Billings, Cory Collins, Elijah Seay and Cade Ridley all came away with regional wins.
GREENWOOD, S.C. - The King University men's wrestling team traveled to Lander University today and wrestled two duals against Emmanuel and Lander. King split the day with a 29-22 win over Emmanuel and a 12-30 loss to the home team. The Tornado was led by Rylee Billings and Elijah Seay, both going 2-0 on the day.
MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The King University men's wrestling team picked up a much-needed win today against the University of Mount Olive. The Tornado was led by Matthew Danner, Jacob Wynn and Camden Buckingham, all put together very strong wins by technical fall or pin. These performances paved the way for a solid 29-17 victory for King.
BRISTOL, Tenn. - Nationally ranked 197-pound wrestler Elijah Seay will be presenting original research done in collaboration with Dr. Linderman at this year's American Mathematical Society (AMS) and Mathematical Association of America's (MAA) annual joint conference. His paper is titled "Ramsey Numbers of Trees with Large Diameter" and investigates the nature of a class of graphs called trees.
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's wrestling team fell to Queens University of Charlotte by a score of 30-15. Cory Collins led the Tornado at 157 pounds with a first period win by fall and Rylee Billings picked up a close win by a score of 5-4 at 125 pounds.
WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. - The King University men's wrestling team had a tough day, falling to West Liberty University and Davis & Elkins College by scores of 43-12 and 40-9, respectively. Cade Ridley led the Tornado with two wins, one by pin and another by medical forfeit. Rylee Billings and Cory Collins also picked up wins.
