Seay selected Conference Carolinas Wrestler of the Week

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Elijah Seay of the King University men's wrestling team had a solid weekend at the Midwest Classic, finishing sixth and leading him to the Conference Carolinas Wrestler of the Week award.

Seay went 3-3 at 197 points, finishing sixth at the highly competitive Midwest Classic. He started with an 8-1 decision over Gerardo Jaime of the University of Mary before earning back-to-back falls to reach the semifinals. He pinned Donovan Benitti of Drury University in 1:37 before pinning Lake Erie College's Chris Droege in 6:26. However, Seay's weekend came to an end his tournament and give him a sixth place finish.

He is the second Tornado men's wrestler to be selected Conference Carolinas Player of the Week this year, joining Tony Morales on November 6.

The Tornado are in action again on December 20 at West Liberty University. The will take on the host Hilltoppers and Davis & Elkins College starting at 12:00 p.m.
