Seay ranked, King receives votes in NWCA poll

BRISTOL, Tenn. – In the most recent NWCA Division II rankings, the King University men's wrestling team received votes for the first time this year. Elijah Seay was the only individual ranked as he checked at ninth in the 197-pound weight class.

The Tornado have split a pair of duals this season and have competed in three open tournaments. In those tournaments, King has had six individuals place. This marks the first time this season King has appeared in the poll. A season ago, the Tornado were receiving votes in six different polls.

Seay is ranked ninth in the latest rankings and is 8-4 on the season. He finished runner-up in each of the last two tournaments, the Wolfpack Open and the King Open. He owns five pins on the season.

King is in action again on December 14-15 at the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis, Ind.
