King has five selected academic All-Conference Carolinas

Academic All-Conference Carolinas Selections

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Conference Carolinas announced their academic all-conference performers for track & field, leading up to the conference championship this weekend. King University had five athletes honored, four from the men's team and one from the women's team.

On the men's side, Charles Ramos, Tyler Edwards, Daniel Kovalchick, and Morgan Greene earned honors. Kovalchick owns a 3.74 GPA and ran a season best in the 10,000 meter event at the Montreat College Invitational. Ramos has a 3.34 GPA and has been a strong contributor to the team so far this season in many of the long distance events.

Greene has ran well for the Tornado including setting a season best in the 10,000 meter race at the Montreat College Invitational. Greene holds a 4.0 GPA. Edwards holds a 3.61 GPA and set season best in the 1,500 meter race Terrier Relays 2018.

On the women's side, Hannah Kusmierz owns a 3.68 GPA and has been running well for the Tornado this season in the long distance events.

Conference Carolinas academic all-conference teams are comprised of junior and senior student-athletes who have competed in a conference-sponsored sport and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all work completed at their member institution.

The Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, S.C.
