McPhee takes first to lead Tornado at HPU VertKlasse

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The King University men's track and field team competed at the HPU VertKlasse Meeting event Friday. Adriel McPhee led the way for the Tornado as he finished first in the 110 meter hurdles and posted a mark in the event that ranks him second all-time in King program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • McPhee led the way for King as he posted a time of 14.79 in the 110 meter hurdles to finish in first place in the event. This mark was the second best time for this event in program history.
  • McPhee also competed in the 200 meter hurdles where he posted a time of 22.43.
  • In the triple jump, Jaylen Foster posted a distance of 14.02 meters to take fourth place in the event.
  • The King throwers had a great day too as Braidon Miller took ninth place in the shot put with a distance of 13.22 meters. Teammate TJ McMurray finished 12th in the shot put with a distance of 12.75 meters.
