CULLMAN, Ala. - The bass fishing duo Landon Lawson and Donavan Carson put in a great effort this weekend at the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series event on Smith Lake. Out of 250 teams they landed in 22nd, and clenched qualification for the 2020 Bassmaster Collegiate National Championship to be held this summer.

Bainbridge, Ga. - The King University bass fishing team traveled south this weekend to compete in the FLW college series event at Lake Seminole. Landon Lawson/Donavan Carson finished 38th with four fish for 7 pounds 3 ounces, and Dillon Bryant/Jacob Lovell finished 42nd with two fish for 6 pounds 8 ounces. The Lawson/Donavan duo missed national qualification by a mere three pounds.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The King University Bass fishing team had another great showing at this year's Brandon Card BASS College Open. Norris Lake proved to be very tough with almost half the field bringing in zero keepers. King was led by Landon Lawson and Nick Gilbert finishing 8th with 9.9 pounds.

BRISTOL, Tenn. - King University Director of Athletics has announced that Jason Moorman has stepped down as head men’s wrestling coach, and Deral Brown has been hired to replace him. Moorman will remain in place as head women’s wrestling coach, and will also assume the role of head bass fishing coach.
