BRISTOL, Tenn. – Conference Carolinas announced their Presidential Honor Roll for the fall semester and King University had 255 student-athletes named to the list. The Tornado baseball and women's soccer teams each had more than 20 student-athletes honored to lead King.
Limestone College led the league with 353 while Emmanuel College was second at 304 and North Greenville University was third at 299. The Tornado followed the Belmont Abbey College (272) and the University of Mount Olive (262) with 255 student-athletes named to the list.
In all, 10 Tornado teams had at least 10 student-athletes earn recognition, led by 26 student-athletes from the baseball team and 22 from the women's soccer team. The softball team followed with 18 while the acrobatics & tumbling team came next at 17 and the men's volleyball team had 16. The men's soccer team was next with 14 while cheer/dance women's swimming and women's volleyball team all had 12 student-athletes honored. The women's wrestling team rounded out the group with 10 student-athletes recognized.
The Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll is awarded after the fall and spring semesters. The Presidential Honor recognizes the scholastic achievements of Conference Carolinas student-athletes who achieve a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale each semester.
All student-athletes - including underclassmen, transfers and those who play non-conference sponsored sports - are eligible for the recognition as long as they participated during the past semester.
