Tornado take 9th at Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The King University women's track & field team closed the indoor season on Sunday at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships where they finished ninth. Neyasha Honorable led the way, taking fourth in the 400 meters.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Alyssa Thomas posted a career best in the shot put with a distance of 11.15 meters.
  • Honorable posted a time of 1:00.04 in the 400 meter dash to take fourth place.
  • Audrey McCormick post season bests in the 800 meters with a time of 2:39.95
  • Hannah Kusmierz finished eighth in the mile with a time of 5:48.23. She also placed seventh in the 5,000 meters with a time of 19:46.44.
  • The group of Honorable, McCormick, Abbi Pierce, and Rachel Graham placed seventh in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:31.45.
