BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women’s tennis team squared off against Barton College Saturday afternoon in a matchup of Conference Carolinas foes. The Tornado fought hard, but struggled against the Bulldogs as they fell 9-0 to the conference opponent.
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women’s tennis team fell to Converse College on Tuesday afternoon. The Tornado fell behind in doubles and couldn’t come back in singles, falling to the Valkyries 9-0.

BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University Director of Athletics David Hicks announced the hire of Terry Caldwell as the interim head tennis coach on Thursday. Caldwell joins the Tornado tennis programs following the resignation of Mariia Ilina and he will remain with the Tornado for the remainder of the season when King will conduct a national search for a full-time coach.
SUMTER, S.C. – The King University women’s tennis team opened their season with a solid outing at the Palmetto Tennis Center Invitational. Vanessa Francois won the C draw and Thalía Roustand Ruiz took the C draw consolation title to lead the Tornado.

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced their academic awards for the 2016-17 season, both the King University men’s and women's tennis team earned ITA All-Academic Team. Two individuals from the women’s team and seven from the men’s team were selected ITA Scholar-Athletes.
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Earlier this spring, King University tennis coach Mariia Ilina was selected to attend the Women’s Leadership Symposium (WLS) in Kansas City, Mo. Ilina was one of 100 participants that were selected to attend the WLS, which aims to expand the participants’ network and promote the recruitment and retention of women working in intercollegiate athletics administration.

Sunday’s duals against Lincoln Memorial University have been moved to April 15 and will start at 1:00 p.m.
