    BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University Director of Athletics David Hicks announced on Wednesday that swimming head coach Jordan Schrotenboer has resigned to take an NCAA Division I coaching appointment. Schrotenboer will be an assistant at North Carolina State University.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women’s swimming team will have a new home in 2017-18 as Conference Carolinas announced the addition of women’s swimming and diving on Tuesday. Joining King in the new conference will be Barton College, Converse College Emmanuel College, Limestone College and Chowan University.
  • Record setting end to season nets King 11 school records

    CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The King University women's swimming team ended their 2016-17 season at the Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships in a four day event in grand fashion. The Tornado set 11 school records in Christiansburg and scored a total of 317 points. Macarena Martin Mayor was the top scorer for King with 41 points. King won bronze twice in relays in which Nicola Mead was in each of these races and she added a silver and a bronze finish in individual races.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women’s swimming team had their last tune-up for the Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships on Saturday when they traveled to Union College (Ky.). The Tornado set four school records, but Union came away with the 112-104 victory.

    EMORY, Va. – The King University women’s swimming team returned to the pool at Emory & Henry College on Friday night where they faced the home-standing Wasps and Milligan College. The Tornado came away with a 123-30 victory over Milligan and fell to Emory & Henry 115-74.

    JEFFERSON CITY, TENN. – The King University women's swimming team returned to the pool on Friday at Carson-Newman University. Nicola Mead set a school record in the 100 butterfly but the Tornado fell to the Eagle’s 162.5-35.5.

    SEWANNEE, Tenn. – The King University women's swimming team had a very productive and memorable two days, posting two school record relay events in the 100 yard medley and 100 yard freestyle at the Sewanee Invitational. Nicola Mead won the 100 yard butterfly and set a school record in the 200 yard butterfly event. Nicole Maldonado won the 50 yard freestyle event as well.

    MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. – The King University women’s swimming team returned to the pool on Friday and earned a pair of victories at Milligan College. The Tornado defeated the host Buffaloes 100-77 along with topping St. Andrews University 105.5-36.5.

    MARS HILL, N.C. – The opening meet for the King University women’s swimming team might have been a memorable one Nicola Mead as she set the school record in the 100 yard butterfly. She won a pair of races to lead the Tornado, but King fell to Mars Hill University 143.5-105.5.

    CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The King University women's swimming team ended their 2015-16 making a statement at the Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships. The Tornado set a total of 14 personal records, including nine school record breaking performances, three of which came from the solo effort of Olivia Langford. King finished ninth in the meet overall.

    BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Returning to the pool for the first time in three weeks, the King University women’s swimming team turned in a solid performance in their last tune-up before the Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships next weekend. The 200 medley relay team broke the school record and seven personal records fell on Saturday the Tornado defeated Union College 113-104.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women’s swimming and diving team opens the 2015-16 season behind the leadership of a new face for the first time in program history. Following the retirement of the only head coach in program history John Connor, Jordan Schrotenboer looks begin to build a foundation of a championship team. He hopes to implement a culture that strives to be the best they can be and wants to improve every day.
