    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced their all-conference honorees, and four King University grapplers were honored. Bryce Killian earned first team accolades to lead the way while Dustin Kirk, Kody Eichlin and Eldon Valery, Jr., all garnered second team recognition.

    CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – For the second straight year, the King University men’s wrestling team has a pair of All-Americans. Bryce Killian finished sixth at the NCAA Wrestling Championships and Dustin Kirk finished eighth. The Tornado also posted their best team finish in program history, taking 19th.

    CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – On the opening day of the NCAA Wrestling Championships, Dustin Kirk and Bryce Killian of the King University men’s wrestling both earned All-American honors for the second straight year. Each ended the day in the consolation quarterfinals and will wrestle to take third on Saturday.

  • Killian, Kirk qualify for NCAA Wrestling Championships

    FINDLAY, Ohio – The King University men's wrestling team had five individuals alive on the second day of the NCAA Midwest Regional, and two finished in the top four to advance to the NCAA Wrestling Championships. Bryce Killian finished runner-up for the second straight year and Dustin Kirk finished third, both advancing to the NCAA Championships.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The 22nd-ranked King University men’s wrestling closed their dual season on Monday night when they squared off with UNC Pembroke in an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) match. The Braves grabbed the lead early and didn’t slow down, taking the 35-12 victory.
  • King alum, Harrison leads Christian Brothers HS to state title

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – In his first season as head wrestling coach at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, King University men’s wrestling alum Derek Harrison ’09 (’10 MBA) led the Purple Wave to a state title. Last week, Harrison’s squad won the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Duals state championship.

    GAFFNEY, S.C. – The 22nd-ranked King University men’s wrestling team traveled to take on Limestone College in an Eastern College Athletic College (ECAC) dual on Tuesday night. The Tornado came back to even the score early, but the Saints won the final six bouts to take the dual 36-9.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – In a dual match atop the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), the 22nd-ranked King University men’s wrestling team went toe-to-toe with 13th-ranked Newberry College early in the dual. However, the Wolves pulled away with a pair of pins, taking the dual 30-13.

  • King drops final two duals at Super Region II Duals

    BELMONT, N.C. – On the second day of the Super Region II Duals, the King University men’s wrestling team squared off with two of the top teams in the nation, No. 4 Ashland University and No. 18 University of Findlay. The Tornado grabbed the lead against Ashland early, but ultimately fell 36-3 before falling to Findlay 27-18.
  • Tornado drop first two matches at Super Region II Duals

    BELMONT, N.C. – The King University men’s wrestling team opened the Super Region II Duals on Friday with a pair of tough defeats. The Tornado were ahead early against 23rd-ranked Lake Erie College, but the Storm came back to defeat King 23-16. In the nightcap, King fell behind Tiffin University early and couldn’t recover, falling to the Dragons 33-9.
  • King cruises to ECAC win at Coker

    HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The King University men’s wrestling team jumped back into the rankings on Thursday and followed that with a resounding performance at Coker College. The Tornado jumped out to a 16-0 lead and cruised to a 26-21 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) victory.

    HAMPTON, Va. – The King University men’s wrestling capped a solid weekend with a program first, winning the Virginia Duals. The Tornado opened the day with a 34-11 win over Apprentice School in the semifinals before topping Liberty University 30-8 in the championship match.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – Following his great start to the season, King University men’s wrestler Landon Goforth has earned recognition from the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). Goforth has been named the first ECAC Men’s Wrestling of the Month for the 2017-18 season.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men’s wrestling team is off to a good start this season, and the Tornado moved up one spot in the latest NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association. The Tornado are ranked 20th in the latest rankings while Dustin Kirk is still atop at 133 pounds. Joey Mammolenti also broke into the rankings at 174 pounds.

The Tornado came back from a 22-6 deficit to defeat Belmont Abbey College 23-22 behind four straight victories to close out the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) match.

    FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The 21st-ranked King University men’s wrestling team posted two champions and two runners-up on Saturday at the Georgia Open. Landon Goforth and Joey Mammolenti both won their respective weight classes to lead the Tornado.

    ROANOKE, Va. – The King University men’s wrestling team opened the season on Sunday at the highly competitive Hokie Open and were led by a third place finish. Elijah Seay reached the semifinals and took third place at 197 pounds to lead the Tornado.
