BRISTOL, Tenn. – In the latest D2Wrestle.com rankings, the King University men's wrestling team continues to receive votes in the national poll, while Dustin Kirk moved up the national rankings at 133 pounds. In the Super Region Two rankings, King is ranked 10th and has six individuals ranked, including Kirk who is ranked second.
For the second straight poll, the Tornado are receiving votes in the national D2Wrestle.com poll and have one individual ranked.
Following his performance at the Midwest Classic, Kirk moved from being ranked 12th in the last poll at 133 pounds to fourth in the latest poll. Kirk went 5-1 at the Midwest Classic with a pin of Dakota Butler of Maryville College who was ranked fourth nationally and a 4-2 decision over Naquan Hardy who was ranked fifth nationally. Kirk is 10-5 on the season with four wins by pin and two major decisions.

Kirk is ranked second at 133 pounds, and leads the way for King following a runner-up finish at the highly competitive Midwest Classic last month. Kirk is 10-5 on the season with four wins by pin and two major decisions.
Bryce Killian is ranked fourth at 141 pounds. He won his only two matches of the season at the Kaufman/Brand Open. At 174 pounds, Joey Mammolenti is ranked sixth after finishing eighth at the Midwest Classic. At the event, he won his first two bouts, including an 11-4 victory over Bradley Metz of Findlay University who was ranked ninth nationally. Mammolenti is 14-6 on the season, including a 3-1 mark on technical falls.
Reed Jacks is ranked seventh at 125 pounds and owns an overall record of 6-6. Ethyn Ewing and Cody Davis are both ranked eighth at 149 and 285 pounds, respectively. Ewing is 10-6 in his first season at King, including a 3-1 mark on technical falls while Davis is 1-4 on the year.
King returns to the mat on Thursday in their first home dual of the season. The Tornado host Emmanuel College in an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) bout in the Student Center Complex at 7:00 p.m.
