Deans scores spot on All-Tournament squad

BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College's Ashley Deans was named to the 2011 University of the District of Columbia New Year's Classic All-Tournament team.

Deans, a senior forward from Greeneville, Tenn., was one of five players on the team. In the two games at the event over the weekend she averaged 22.0 points which included a 25-point performance against host District of Columbia.

She went 15-for-24 overall from the field and 14-for-16 at the free throw line. In the two contests Deans averaged 8.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
