    WILSON, N.C. – The King University men’s volleyball team traveled to take on Barton College Saturday afternoon in a matchup of the only two teams left in Conference Carolinas with an undefeated conference record. Coming off of a long and exhausting five set match win over the University of Mount Olive last night, the Tornado not only battled a strong Barton squad, but fatigue as well and fell to the Bulldogs 3-0.

    MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The King University men’s volleyball team traveled to the University of Mount Olive for a Conference Carolinas matchup Saturday afternoon. Despite leading 2-0 in the contest, the Tornado held off a Mount Olive comeback to take a thrilling fifth set 16-14 and maintain an undefeated record in conference play.
  • Strong offense leads Tornado to 3-0 victory over Limestone

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men’s volleyball team hosted Limestone College in a Conference Carolinas matchup Tuesday night. The Tornado offense proved to be too much for the visiting Saints as King pulled out a 3-0 victory. With the win, the Tornado extended their consecutive sets won streak to 24.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men’s volleyball team hosted Conference Carolinas foe North Greenville University Tuesday. The Tornado swept the Crusaders in straight sets and extend their consecutive sets won streak to an impressive 21 sets.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. - Saturday night’s men’s volleyball match between King University and Coker College has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. In its place, the Tornado will scrimmage Milligan College at 7:00 p.m. King will be taking donations for Special Olympics.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men’s volleyball team hosted Emmanuel College Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas matchup. The Tornado offense was strong throughout the match and proved to be too much for the Lions as King swept Emmanuel in straight sets. In the win, Jeff Sprayberry recorded his 1,000th kill, a mark that has never been eclipsed by a King University men’s volleyball player.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men’s volleyball team hosted Erskine College Friday night in a Conference Carolinas matchup. The Flying Fleet hung around early in all three sets, however, the Tornado offense was too much and propelled King to a 3-0 victory over the visitors.
  • King basketball DH vs. Emmanuel rescheduled, MVB schedule altered

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University basketball doubleheader that was postponed against Emmanuel College earlier this month has been rescheduled for February 21. The women will tipoff at 5:30 p.m. with the men to follow at 7:30 p.m. The men’s volleyball match that was scheduled for February 21 against Limestone College has been moved to February 20 with first serve at 7:00 p.m.
  • High-powered offense leads King past LMU

    HARROGATE, Tenn. – The King University men’s volleyball team posted their fourth straight win and third straight hitting better than .300 when they swept Lincoln Memorial University. The first set was tight but, Jeff Sprayberry posted nine kills in the final two sets, leading the Tornado to victory.

    BELMONT, N.C. – The King University men’s volleyball team traveled to Belmont Abbey College Saturday night for a Conference Carolinas matchup. The Tornado offense was clicking on all cylinders and proved to be too much for the Crusaders as they topped them in three straight sets.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men’s volleyball team opened Conference Carolinas play against Lees-McRae Wednesday night at home. The Tornado dominated from start to finish and recorded a 3-0 victory over the visiting Bobcats.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the second time in three weeks, King University men’s volleyball player Kiel Bell has been tabbed Conference Carolinas Player of the Week. Last week, Bell led the Tornado to a win in their first home match of the season, sweeping Alderson Broaddus University.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men’s volleyball team cracked the Off the Block/Springbak Division II Coaches Poll for the first time. In the first poll of the season, the Tornado are ranked fifth in the Off the Block/Springbak Division II Coaches poll.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men’s volleyball team opened the season against good competition over the week, and Kiel Bell had a great weekend for the Tornado. He set a pair of career-highs, earning him Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honors.

    LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Following a tough loss to host school UCLA on Friday night, the King University men’s volleyball team split their games on Saturday. The Tornado started off the day by defeating McKendree University 3-1, but fell to UC San Diego in their second matchup 3-1.

    LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The King University men’s volleyball team opened their season Friday night in Los Angeles, California when they took on nationally ranked UCLA. King fought hard, but struggled against the much larger UCLA team. The Tornado fell to Bruins in straight sets.
  • King ready for run at another Conference Carolinas title

    BRISTOL, Tenn. - The 2017 season was a memorable one for head coach Ryan Booher and the King University men's volleyball team. The Tornado won their first Conference Carolinas title, going 16-2 in league play. Booher returns a majority of the firepower from last year's squad that won 28 matches as the Tornado aim for another conference title.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – Former King University men’s volleyball player Eddie Moushikhian has signed a contract to play professionally. A 2017 graduate, Moushikhian has signed to play Anorthosis Famagusta Volleyball in Limassol, Cyprus.
  • Booher coaches USA team in the Netherlands

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – This summer, King University men’s volleyball head coach Ryan Booher had an opportunity to coach volleyball overseas. Booher traveled to Amsterdam, Netherlands with a group of nine college men’s volleyball players that formed a team for United States of America Athletes International (USAAI).

Jeff Sprayberry earned honorable mention All-America honors following his stellar season.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men’s volleyball team has had the most successful season in program history, and six Tornado earned All-Conference Carolinas honors when the league announced the award winners at a banquet prior to the conference tournament semifinals. Jeff Sprayberry and Ryan Booher headlined this group, being selected Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year.

    WILSON, N.C. – The King University men’s volleyball team played for a spot in the Conference Carolinas Tournament match when they squared off with third seed University of Mount Olive on Friday. The seconded seed Tornado fell behind early and couldn’t recover as the Trojans took the match 3-1, ending King’s historic season.
