Tornado fall to Chowan in conference tournament

SUMTER, S.C. – The King University men's tennis traveled to Sumter, South Carolina Friday afternoon for a Conference Carolinas quarterfinals matchup against Chowan University. The Tornado battled throughout, however, Chowan proved to be too much as they defeated King 5-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • At No. 1 doubles, the duo of Alejandro Feliciano and Lennard Neumann fell 8-4 while at No. 2 doubles, Sebastian Lieflaender and Arturo Alfaro fell 8-2.
  • In No. 3 doubles, Lenny Keswani and Charles Jabaley battled hard, but fell just short as they lost 8-6.
  • In singles play, Keswani fell 6-4, 4-3 in No. 1 singles while Neumann fell 6-4, 5-0 in No. 2 singles.
  • Feliciano dropped his singles match 6-0, 6-3 and Alfaro fell 6-4, 0-3 in his match.
  • In the fifth singles flight, Lieflaender lost 6-1, 6-2 and Jabaley also fell in his flight.
