Zachlynn Blackburn joins the King track and field coaching staff as a throws coach with the 2010-11 seasons.

She was the leading women's thrower for NCAA Division I East Tennessee State University from 2006 to 2010. Blackburn broke the school record for both the indoor weight throw and outdoor hammer throw. She was honored with the Athletic MVP for both the indoor and outdoor season as a senior. Blackburn also was a three-time Indoor Atlantic Sun Conference Champion in the weight throw, three-time Outdoor Atlantic Sun Conference hammer throw champion. She added a conference championship in the discus during the outdoor season and placed in the Top-10 in shot put in every conference championship.

Blackburn has worked with throwing legends such as Youri Sedykh, Mac Wilkins and Natalia Lisovskaya.

She obtained a degree in physical education from East Tennessee State and was a multiple All-Academic winner and made the ETSU Dean's List three times. Blackburn also comes as a certified AFAA Personal Fitness Trainer.

Before East Tennessee State, she graduated from Tazewell (Va.) High School where she also played on the volleyball and basketball teams.
