Boy's Basketball

The King College Men's basketball coaching staff will be conducting their annual boy's basketball camp the weeks of June 13-16 and July 18-21. The June camp will be a fundamental and shooting camp while the camp in July will focus on the position the camper is most interested in improving at. The cost of the camp is $95.

Softball

King head coach Jenn Testa will conduct a skills camp June 14-16 for players between the ages of 8 to 18. The elite camp for players between the ages of 13 and 18 will be June 21-23. The cost for the skills camp is $55 if registered by June 3 and $65 as a late registration. The elite camp has a $100 cost with early registration by June 10 and $125 after that. Interested players can sign up for both at a cost of $135 before June 3, late registration will cost $150.

Each camp will feature instruction from the King coaching staff and players from the squad. Offensive and defensive stations along with competitions will also be a part of the event.

All campers will receive a t shirt and photo from the event.

Wrestling

The men’s wrestling camp, a team and individual, led by head coach Nate Moorman has been scheduled for June 19-23. The women’s wrestling camp with director and King head coach Jason Moorman will be June 26-30.

Both the men’s and women’s camps will have sessions on technique, drills and situational. A dual tournament will close out each camp the final day after a review session.

For each of the camps, costs vary due to the option to stay on campus at King or commute each day.

This past season King sent two men to the NCAA Division II National Tournament and the Lady Tornado had eight All-Americans including National Champion Marina Lambert.

Women's Volleyball

The women's volleyball camp for middle school students will be June 27-29 and scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. The cost was set at $135 per camper.

The high school hitter and setter camp will be July 5-6. The next two days, July 7-8, King will host a high school defense camp. Both high school camps will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and each costs $100.

All camps feature daily skill instruction and match play. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The 2010 Lady Tornado squad finished with a 32-11 record and was a part of the NCCAA Division I National Tournament where the team finished fifth.

Men's Volleyball

The overnight men's volleyball camp will be for campers between the ages of 8 to 18 and run from July 25-28. Skills, techniques and team play will be emphasized at the camp. The cost is $285 which includes meals, room and t-shirt.

Booher just wrapped up his second season at the helm of the Tornado program as King reached the Conference Carolinas championship match. Booher was the league’s coach of the year with the player, setter and libero of the year award winners for the conference.
